I just upgraded to the TIM Italy Release from .71. I had all the themes unlocked on the previos OS. As soon as I upgraded im missing all my themes. The only themes I currently got is the BB Themes and T-Mobile Zen. What's going on??? :'( Does anyone currently have the updated alx file including the platform to use ptt on the operating system. Can I use the previous alx and platform on this OS.

I think you'll need to wait for jibbi to provide the edited .alx or make your own edits.

Should be. The upgrader wiped your device and then used a 'stock' .alx file to reload. It only loaded the themes associated with your phones vendor id.

So are you of the opinion it's rolled into the OS, and a patch is not needed in conjuction any longer?

4.2.1 doesn't need the patch....The 8800 doesn't---supposedly.

If you're not on a corporate setup, you won't need it -- MDS is a component suite sold by RIM to enable Mobile Data System, it's something you'd possibly use in a BES environment.

BlackBerry - BlackBerry Mobile Data System | MDS Application Development for BlackBerry Enterprise Solution

If you chose the BIS option when installing the Desktop Software, then the MDS Runtime should be properly unchecked and not installed to your device.

thanks

the only problem I have run into is when I go Media / Ringtones / Preloaded Ringtones... and I click them to sample them, the Media Player will crash on many of them with the "Uncaught exception: java.lang.ClassCast Exception". Other wise no issues anywhere

Anyone else? I'd like to see a BUG LIST formed up. I saw the browser/OZ thing

Separate time zones for Mexico from the US. Tijuana has it's own time zone. Also, I have a Chihuaha-old and a Chihuahua-new.
