Default Completely Wipe the OS of my 8100

Please Login to Remove!

Can anyone tell me how to completely wipe the Operating System of my 8100 and reinstall it again as i'm having a few problems with it and want to do a clean install

Download Jl_Cmder (It's in my sig) and wipe the device...

Everything OS included is gone in a flash

if you have any 3rd party apps or ota apps you don't want to lose i made a quick guide in windows how to save that stuff before you wipe...

Good advice form krad...

Once you wipe it with Jl_Cmder who will need Desktop Manager and the Handheld OS installed on the PC.. Connect the BB after it reboots (white screen) and open Desktop manager... Then Application Loader and install the OS...

Phew! thanks for this. i just put on .71 and its been loading for like 5 min lol. was ready to jump the gun and do somethin bout it.

Could take 10 to 15..... But this is just for the 1st boot, after that it boots normal....

it loaded :]

i hope .71 fixed the standby issue where if u put it on standby (pearl), half the time a call came in.. i couldnt pick up because the phone wouldnt let me answer. was like the keys were locked.

hmm.. seems all my bookmarks and emails i had setup didnt transfer over. im assuming i have to set those up again?

If you have a previous backup, just restore them in Desktop Manager, if not you will need to add everything back....

ALWAYS a good idea to backup, especially if formatting a disk (which is *basically* what Jl_Cmder / javaloader) does....

ah yea. just got that. restoring the databases.

i was hesitant at first because i thought it would replace my entire new build i put in (.71), but its just restoring my old data :]
