My Pearl also has several recurring options, all of which don't work...
I only get a reminder on the first occurrence. Do the reminders work for subsequent reminders now?
I know that RIM was aware of the problem because Tech Support let me know that I was not the first to contact RIM with the problem.
Can someone please confirm that the reminders for tasks now work as they are supposed to?

I have been using reccurrin apointments from the moment I bought my pearl (about 5 months) and never had any problems.

How do you "wipe" the Pearl? I intslled the new OS as p[er instructions here, but didn't let the Pearl load properly and turned it on and off while booting (stupid I know - but I was getting nervous!) Now I get "Uncaught errors" all over the show.
Thank you in advance

Are you using recurring appointments, or recurring tasks? My calendar recurrences work fine. But the Tasks do not.
Thus far I have not found anyone that can confirm that they have ever used a recurring Task, and RIM has confirmed to me that this is broken functionality.
Please let me know if the latest OS release solves this problem.
Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (BB 9930t: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)
I had heard that some of the new Pearl 4.2.1 OS's may have some A2DP capability with third party software. Can anyone using TeleNav or dollars5's MediaPlayer try it and see if audio comes through a BT headset? Just curious if anyone has tried it with this OS.

After being up for a few days, it looks like it will not automatically go into standby mode when I put it in my holster. Pulling the battery seems to fix it for a few more days.
Anyone else having this?

After using the new OS for a week I finally found a bug I can't live with.
When in a low-signal area (like my house) where the BB is switching between 1 bar and "searching," if you send a message when the BB is searching, the message fails (big red X). On previous versions of the OS, a clock would appear and the message would be sent when the BB next connects to the network.
Since I can't hold a constant signal in my house I had to go back to the previous version so I don't have to catch the BB right when it finds the signal and hit resend at just the right time.
Maybe they'll bring the clock back in a better version.

Ya I have noticed the same thing and it is really annoying.
Each day while i ride the subway I write several emails/ssms's and hit send even though there is no signal down there. Normally as soon as I get out of the subway it will send all the messages right away on its own.

After haggling with my T-Mobile rep, I got my hands on a copy of 4.2.1.91 today. We needed the capability to disable SMS via IT Policy under Security Policy/Firewall settings, which would not work with any prior version other than 4.2. Not sure it this is the latest release and/or if anybody wants a copy. Pretty sweet, and works well on my 8700g. If anybody needs, I can post a copy to my FTP server and PM you.

Do you have a group that starts with "3" "U" or "I"? I get a java error if I dial from home screen and hit the first letter of any of my groups. I had to delete all my groups.

So this is an incredibly stupid question, I admit, but your software is for the 8700, not the 8100 right?

How would this possibly jeopardize my rep? I'm not indulging their website at all, I have it hosted on my own FTP.
Until I know what kind of trouble this could cause, I've taken this off.

Because the OS you are posting about is unreleased and whoever gave it to you or even to him is probably under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement.) That means they're not supposed to share it. People have lost jobs over issues under NDA.

I respect the mods and admin, okay.
But this is not right. A guy comes here and puts the forum and it's members first, and gets jumped on. Let the rep who gave out the info worry about himself(I assume he's an adult), and let us members just enjoy ourselves.
Unless the rep goes around telling people he gave out the OS, his job is safe.
