Here's my issue. I have my ringtone set to loud but when someone calls me, the ringer is almost so quiet I can't hear it. If there is any noise at all, I don't hear it ring. I've had to change my ringer to vibrate so I don't miss any important calls. The weird thing is when I just browse to the ringtones and listen to them on loud, they are very loud so I know it's not the speaker going bad. It was working fine when i first got it about a year ago, but for the past few weeks it just quit ringing loud.

It's set to loud on both the in and out of holster setting and on every freakin profile I have!

Anyone have this happen to them. Do I need a firmware upgrade or what?

I don't know if the 8700c differs from my 8700g, but the ringing is extremley loud, almost too loud for public!

I figured it out. I found a post where they said to update to the latest OS. I did this and it works perfectly now.

You're right, if it's set to loud, then it's almost too loud. That's why it was so weird.
