Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and I do need your HELP !


I have recently purchased the Blackberry series 7100i , I come from Athens in Greece.

EVER since I bought this device I am trying to work out
how can use the device without being in holster,

to be more specific,


according to the manual book that comes in Greece

there are two ways to use the device

aa) by using a handsfree device
bb) by using the speaker phone

does this means that my device does not support handheld operations ?

I need some experts advise please.

if i understand you correctly...your not able to hear through the earpiece?

Simply press the "Speaker" button on the top of your handheld. The speaker icon under the Time of Day on your main page will dissappear. You should now be able to hear through your earpiece.

ys indeed i cannot hear neither they can hear me through the earpiece !

i can only make calls through

the handsfree device which i connent on my cell phone
or
through the speaker phone

its really crazy,
and no one here in greece can assist me whatsover about this problem

furthermore i am sorry my model is the 7100g and not the (i)
i dont know if this makes a difference to your reply,
but forgive me there is no such button you are mentioning ...

try a master radio reset or a hard reset

master reset:

options/security options/general settings/ once in general settings, press scroll wheel and select Master Radio Reset. This will not erase your address book, when asked for the password, hold the ALT key and type 0000 (four zeros)

Hard reset:

while unit is on...pull battery out and wait 20 sec then put it back in and let it power up
