Is there a way to control number of messages stored in the device from the Enterprise server 4.1.3? Like delete messages older than 30 days and not let the user change it?

I'm NOT a BES Admin, but from what I know, if it can be set on the BlackBerry, it can be controlled by IT Policy. You should be able to force the retention to 30 days and make it unchangeable by the user.

In 4.1.3 there is an IT Policy called "Keep Message Duration" that is listed under the "CMIME Applicaton Policy Group" that should be of use to you.

This only works for handhelds with OS 4.2 and higher.
