Is there a way to create a report of all the values / settings defined in an IT policy using 4.1.3?

You can save your defined settings, yes. Although it escapes me from where. But yes, you can. I'll have a look tomorrow if no one else has put where.

I have a program named ITPolicy.exe that was part of the BES Express package. It opens a policy.bin file and can save it as an INF file - a text file that looks a lot like a standard INF or INI file. If you have access to the BES, it should be there, or download BES Express and extract it from there.

That was designed for BES 3.x and below (during the 2.x days), prior to wireless enterprise provisioning/activation, and thus is conisdered legacy software that simply should no longer be included in the package.

As for the original question, my mistake. You can only do an export of the ITPolicyTemplate, ITPolicyTemplate2 and ITPolicy2 database tables. Just search on here for how to do that.

As per Blackberry support, there is no way to export this in 4.1 version. This is what I got from their email :

"We do not have a way to export the configured values for an IT Policy in BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1.3"

Default IT policy editor

Hi all:

I am new to this forum, but have read thru it for many months. I just got a new BB8800 (Cingular), used for emails from work and home. Not on a BES, but for some reason when I plugged in the new unit to my laptop the first time, the Desktop Connectivity and Wireless bypass disappeared.

In looking in my c: drive, I located a file - policy.bin - that was left over from a demo when we were considering going to BES last year.

I then downloaded itpolicy.exe from Blackberry BES (4.1 sp3) to go in and correct the policy file, but no matter how I put the 2 services in the editor comes back with "DisableWirelessBypass is not a valid keyword" when i try to generate the .bin file.

According to BB web support, BES 4.1 sp3 SHOULD have these new services available in itpolicy generator, but it does not seem to recognize either of them.

Any ideas? I just want to be able to go back to BT synch with DM.

Any help appreciated.
