Pearl Won't Hard Reset!
Please Login to Remove!
So I just got the new Blackberry Pearl YESTERDAY, and today, at work, I synced my Mac Address book to my Pearl. Turns out I don't want ALL of these numbers. I didn't realize there isn't a DELETE ALL button.
Anyhow, after hours of searching, I've only heard two answers.
1. Take out the battery (which doesn't work for me)
2. Go to Options, Security Settings, General Settings, and then Wipe Handheld (which doesn't work for me, either)
Am I doing something wrong?! haha.
SOMEONE SAVE MEEEEE from deleting over 1,000++++++ contacts.

Wait, explain what you are intending to do?
Do you want to delete some or all of your address book?
Why can't you take your battery out to reboot?

I want to delete ALL of my contacts. I don't mind doing that, since I only just got it anyway.
And, even when I take out my battery, the contacts remain as is. They don't disappear like I wish they would. haha

Must be doing something wrong, after wiping the handheld, the contacts should be gone, after hitting 'wipe handheld', were you prompted to type 'blackberry'? I have done a handheld wipe a couple of times, erasing the contacts each time.

No no, wait a minute. Pulling the battery WON"T clear your address book, never has for others, won't for you.
You need to do just what nsquark said, but with pocketmac. Do a complete backup and restore leaving OFF the addressbook.

while highlighting general setting, hit the trackball, the next screen will have "password..." in the top row
now hit the menu key
scroll down to "wipe handheld"
you'll see a warning screen... scroll up to continue... you'll be prompted to enter "blackberry"
