Default Which screen protector am I thinking of? HELP!

Please Login to Remove!

I ordered a pack of three screen protectors for my 8700. They were the ones that didn't require a solution, you just peeled them off and put them on, never once did I have to take it off, it worked great. I found the ones that require a solution to just be a pain in the ass, I have big hands and I could never get them on right. I just ordered my 8800 and want to order these same screen protectors for it. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Also, where can I get a belt clip like the 8700 for the 8800?

Can't wait to get it, hopefully it comes this week as I'm heading to the Indy 500 this weekend and could try out the GPS around the city.

Ian, I am betting you ordered from ScreenPatronus. I use them also, they come three to a pack and no solution required to installing. Mine never come off until I peel them off (I know one lasted 6 months). I know they are on Ebay as well as their own site.
ScreenPatronus, Screen protector - the difference is amazing.

Thanks for your help J! I will go on and order some now.

Also, what kind of case does the 8800 come with? Does it come with a plastic belt clip like the 8700? If not, I'm going to order one of those now.

I "thought" it came with one of the nicer leather cases, new. I saw the plastic holders (I don't like 'em, my 8700 and 7100 used to fall out) listed on Ebay.

Hmmm, can anyone shed some light on the holster for the 8800? Anyone purchased a "classic" plastic belt clip from EBay?

I looked at Seido's website and found this:
JET BLACK PREMIUM SKIN CASE FOR 8800/8830 - CSKBB8800-BK

Anyone used it? I was thinking about getting the skin/belt clip combo, however for almost $40 I'm somewhat hesitant.

Then there is this:
CRYSTAL COMBO FOR 8800/8830 (CASE/HOLSTER) - BD2-HLCSC2BB8800

I've read both good and bad reviews about this crystal case so I'm once again a little hesitant.

EDIT:
I read some reviews on Seido's page. I really like the rubberized hardcase and belt clip combo. Unfortunately I'm looking at like $60+ shipping for that. :( Oh well, I guess you gotta pay to keep the toys safe.

The 8800 comes with a leather holster. It works fine for me but YMMV. You do have to get used to the magnetic flap which is no big deal for me but might be a deal-breaker for others that can't adjust to it. I'd say it's just as quick and easy to use as the plastic holster once you get used to popping the flap while unholstering but I'm sure there are those that would find it a real hassle compared to the plastic holsters. I've always preferred the plastic holsters in the past but I did really like RIM's leather holster for the 8700.

I honestly like the leather holster that came with the phone as well. I will never have to worry about it popping out or falling out accidently because of the flap. I am putting the BSE skin on it and will see how easily it slides in and out.
