I'm confused. Can you give me some details on how to get sound notifications on 5.0.2 beta?

My apologies, didn't try to confuse you. Apparently the only thing I changed was the vibe and volume. Maybe if enough of us request that option they will add it.

I honestly have nothing to complain about. It is reliable and stable. Me and my girl have been using it and it works great. My only issue is the non competetive price. 50 bucks is steep for a IM program.

This beta doesn't have full functionality yet.
Advanced notification settings will be added a bit later.
Keep an eye on beta updates!

I might like to see the ability to upgrade thru the program itself and get notified when an update is available. I think Googlemaps works like that. When you first start the program it checks for updates and you can download them.

With IM+ 4 I missed a few updates as I never knew they were available.

This feature will work in release version. Sorry, beta doesn't have it yet.

They said all beta testers would get 20% off making it only $40. This includes all future updates and versions including when they add Skype support I think.

Thats not bad if you ask me as no other IM offers Skype and MySpace.

Yeah but it's still more expensive compared to jivetalk, ok the interface, sounds etc., are better on IM+ but not worth those extra dollars, personal opinion, cat

It is nothing for me. Sometimes I use translator, sometimes I use MySpace, and hope Shape will integrated Skype into this product. Shape service has good support and good products.
IM+ now the best IM solution for me
Thanks for the program. Good job, guys!

Will you be intergrating the Advanced Notifications with the BB's Profiles? This seems like the logical thing to do, so when you have to change to Vibrate or Quite, you dont have to make changes mulitple times. Better intergration like BB messenger or Google Talk would be the best upgrade over Version 4.XX that would you could do in my opinion. I paid for Version 4.xx and that has been my biggest pet peeve about IM+.

BTW, I just upgraded from 5.0.1 to .2 and the process was painless.

For "full" licenses JT is $30 and IM+ is $40 after beta discount. Need to compare apples to apples.

Default BETA 5.0.3 is available

In new beta version

1. All notifications can be customized in one window.

2. Notifications about incoming messages and online alerts now have an IM+ logo

3. For 4.2 OS BlackBerry devices a feature has been added that allows to set custom sounds for notifications and alerts. Please share how useful this feature is.

Instead of enable/disable or set custom, would you rather have, a list of sounds to choose from or a custom sound for each notification.

Please share your thoughts on how you wish the sounds to work in the application.

4. Setting shortcuts feature has been added. What notifications should be present here and what key combinations should be used for them?

5. Page up/Page down for contact list has been added (in list mode only)

6..You may now scroll up and down even when you are focused on the notification icon up on the top of the screen.

7. An option to jump up directly to notification has been added.

8. A floating message with the sender’s name and the message appear beside the notification icon.

9. Fixed the issue with sounds on BlackBerry 7100

10. You may view the clock with the current time and the battery charge up on the top of the window

11. Some bugfixes and improvements
