Default SUPER URGENT- lost contacts, PLEASE HELP

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I am fairly good with Blackberry, but I screwed up today!

Tried syncing my firiends Blackberry, and sync stopped halfway saying an error. It had copied 600/1200 contacts before stopping. Tried uninstalling and restoring software but same issues again.

So I decided to export the contacts from Outlook to the phone, but I accidentally chose the option to export from the phone to Outlook, and we lost half the contacts.

After almost having a heart attack, I checked and found the contacts had been moved into the 'deleted items' folder. I then selected the 1200 items and moved them to the contacts folder.

It opened up a 'new contact' page with all the contacts showing as icons in the 'notes' field. This looked odd, so I decided to cancel the move, only to find that the 1200 contacts were nowhere to be found.....and now I can't seem to find them anywhere, and he has no backup up .pst files.....

....anyway of reversing what I have done.....

Any chance that your friends outlook is on a corporate exchange server? I know that ours keeps all deleted files (and perm deleted too) for a certain period of time. Since they were in the deleted folder, this may be an option.

Guess that would be another plus to hosted BES/Exchange that gets overlooked.
