Default Confidential emails

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Just a quick one hopefully, got a strange issue when no emails with the confidential flag set are being transferred to any of our BB's, we are running BES4.0 SP3 if that means anything.

I've done a search and can only find one thread that says you can not stop confidential email being sent, but there must be because none of mine are being!

Anyone know about this and is it just an option on the server because there doesnt seem to be anything to control this on the handheld.

cheers

Mike

whats the confidential flag?

do people really use that to indicate whether a message is confidential?

what happens to the confidential flag when the email goes to someone running sendmail (or other non MS server) - surely it just gets dropped.

Never had an issue with any BB or BES and confidential emails. Would bet that this is a user rule issue. (Exchange 2003)

cheers guys for the replies, Although I've just realised that it is running 4.0 SP6 so I dont think it is a SP issue, also it does the same on my own BB and I know I have no rules setup, it could just be an 4.0 Problem as I see most of you are running 4.1.

Although could it just be that the BESAdmin user can not see the Confidential emails in the inbox to be able to move them?

Basically what the users are asking for is that if they are sent an email (Outlook to Outlook) with the confidential flag set that it should move it to their BB, if that is any more help, not sending from their BB with it set.

if you create an email in outlook and go to the options of that new email you have the ability to put different flags on under sensitivity( Normal, Personal, Confidential or private) basically if you use the confidential or private anyone proxying into your inbox will not see them. you need to go into outlook as then to see it.
