I'm officially hooked on this game again now. Lets hear some high scores, my best is Level 7, Time 9--58530.
(Anyone know what "time" stands for by the way?)

I am not interested in your corny little suggestion to post scores.
Thought bubble: because I can't get past level one.

You got me beat:
Score:21250
Level: 5
Time: 6 (don't know what time means either)
I'm one of those that sucked at this game. The same thing happens to me in this game that happened with the arcade game: I push the joystick up, down, etc.. and pacman doesn't respond and runs right into a meanie, or doesn't take the correct turn. Really pisses me off sometimes.
I am determined to master this game though.
BTW, Blinky is a wanker.

Help! Just found this thread for installing PacMan. I went back to message #15 and #16, and tried to load through Rapid Share. The files that I got were gameboards.cod, pacman.alx and pacman.cod. I am able to load it on to my BB (8703e) but when I go to open it, it says "Error starting Pacman: Symbol 'in' not found.
Can anyone tell me what I can do to correct this (I don't even know what it means) and how I can get Pacman to work? Loved this game 20+ years ago!!!
thanks

Scores
Time stands for how many minutes you spent not working and playing the game

Aw man, I pumped so many quarters into missile command, at least until I got good, then one quarter would last me for about 1/2 hour or more.
Did not do a lot of homework because of that game.
I still remember the various sounds, such as when those smart bombs used to attack and when the game would go to the next level.
Here is a site that has some classic games.
Arcade Games for Windows XP
And another:
portable arcade games
Maybe Benny can get permission to use the source code and make us some Pearl versions.

Hi karaokesuperstar, it's okay. I don't need donations. If you insist, just click on the Google adsense links on the right a few times -> PacMan | Play It Online
lol.

Help - I still don't know what I am doing wrong. I click on the link above. I'm using Desktop Manager. It loads the file, then extracts them. Then I go to Desktop Manager and add Pacman and Gameboards (They are the only ones showing as Application files). I still get the same message when I go to open it "Error starting Pacman- symbol "in" not found".
I then thought I should try to load the "gameboards.cod and pacman.cod" files. I got a message through Desktop Manager saying Error in gameboards.cod - xml syntax error on line 1. I got the same message for pacman.cod.
Any suggestions? I really want this game!
Thanks

First of all, do you get the game icon with the red ghost? If so, then I'd have to try it out in the debugger to figure out what is wrong.
Otherwise, you didn't load the game into your BB correctly. If you have the date plan, then install it by opening this link in the browser:
http://rivviepop.php0h.com/bb/ota/pacman.jad
Hope this helps.

Yes, I get the red pacman icon.
I downloaded using the link you supplied (I do have the data plan). It says loaded successfully. If I click run I get the message Error symbol gamboards.cod not found. If I click ok, and then open it with the icon, I get the message Error symbol "ini" not found. (think I got the error symbols a little off- I'm not on my blackberry at the moment). I can get the correct terminology if you need it.
Thanks!

That's nice Benny, not asking for or accepting donations. You are a CAL man indeed.
One time I considered accepting donations on my legal website but decided not to [mostly to prevent creating an attorney/client relationship by strangers payment of money].
If some of you do not know what Benny is referring to [AdSense], I have AdSense on my Site.
AdSense is a program where Google pays us money each time someone clicks one of the links in the "Google Ads" section of our web pages.
It's not much, I get about $350 monthly on average. Many Sites report getting $1500 to $2000 monthly.
That is why you see "Google Ads" on so many Sites nowadays. It's simple to set up the box on a page and it is free. Later, the checks start rolling in.
