Default Telenav in Europe?

Please Login to Remove!

I remember at some point there was an OTA version that you can, once you install, simply select from the US or Europe and then you are good to go. I now see on the Telenav website (according to GINA, the telenav support person) that a US user cannot use the Europe version without a Europe account and vice versa..is that true? if so, what are my options for navi in Europe (Italy specifically). I think Google maps works with the GPS over there, but I would really like the telenav over there...

thanks for the help in advance (and please post the OTA links for download if available..)

UPDATE:

Despite what telenav, and others on BBF have said, I deleted my telenav USA app from my bb, downloaded the Europe version, used my USA login and password, and VOILA!! Worked perfectly..> I was in Italy and Spain for 2 weeks, and used it the whole time...

I'm using the Telenav in Canada right now. I'm hoping I will be able to use it in Europe as well.

Don't you get charge roaming from your provider in the US? Ending up to be what that guy with the iphone with a bill of $3000 after his trip in Europe where his iPhone keeps on wanting to connect if there is no wifi around. Sucks for him.

Wink TeleNav EU 4.8 and US 5.1

If you have v5.1 from the US, remove it before loading the 4.8 EU version. Failure to do this will result in doing it anyway since they do NOT update over each other well at all. Regardless of which side of the Atlantic you make your purchase, v4.8 will work on the other side.
