Default Future OS Wish List

Please Login to Remove!

If there are any decision-making execs over at RIM reading this, I have a small wish list for any future OS updates:

1. The ability for the time to automatically change according to the time zone in which you're currently located.

2. Improve the alarm functionality.

3. The ability for the phone to ring and vibrate at the same time.

Anyone else have anything to add?

All the above. My old Nokia phone correctly updated it's time when I went on business trips to the local time zone. Any civilized phone should do that automatically. I'm surprised that BB does not, come on guys get with the program.

Re the alarm, there should be an option for the alarm to sound for up to a full minute before automatically shutting off, unless manually shut off earlier. Great for alarm clock service when you're on a business trip in some hotel.

Ring and vib simultaneously? My old Nokia would do that, why not my new BB?

Don't go there with the time zone change. None of those phones truly deal with TZ and none of those phones have OTA sync back to a calendar.

It's been discussed to death here, and the general consensus is that it's better left alone.

I travel quite a bit. At some point during the flight, I take my watch and change the time. I then pull out the berry and change it's time. Takes a whole minute to do. The alternative is messing up my calendar.

The BlackBerry already does this, but you have to configure it to do so.

Edit your profile by going to Profiles, selecting your profile, select "Edit" (Or "Advanced"), scroll to Phone, select Edit, then change the setting grom "Tone" to "Vibrate+Tone". You can make the volume louder (to High or Escalating), and increase the number of vibrations (to 3)

I think the user wants simultaneous ringing and vibrating.
The way the Blackberry profile settings are, Vibrate+Tone will vibrate first, then ring audibly.
To my knowledge, the BB doesn't have simultaneous vibratory and audible alerts.
