Default Is there a comprehensive list of OTA software?

Please Login to Remove!

And the addresses?
Since it's the only way I can load anything I am flustered trying to find software and then sit with my bb next to my Mac, surf till I find something and then try and access it on the bb for the download.

Tell me I'm an idiot and there's an easier way.

I haven't been able to find any links on here devoted specifically to OTA sites, although there are a number listed in various posts about various applications.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to start one, though... I can contribute a few myself, having just recently upgraded to an 8700 and having to re-download stuff in the process.

Default Telenav

I have successfully loaded a few things OTA - 411, google maps, games. I discovered Ascendo products appear like they download OTA but don't actually work once loaded. Has anyone tried Telenav OTA?

Hi Jennemmy,

Marc from Ascendo here. Our products are available for direct download (OTA) from our product FAQ pages and from our distributors that support OTA.

If you have a problem, please let me know with which product and where you tried to download from.

You can add Opera Mini to the OTA list - point your browser to: mini.opera.com

Welcome to BEIKS Mobile!
Thank you for posting this information. I was on Handango, and downloaded their version of Spider Solitaire, not knowing that it wouldn't install right on the BB (I have an 8830). I found this thread, and went to Magmic, and found a version to use. Thanks again.

There is a thread with a nice list of many of the 3rd party apps available, along with links. I'm not at my computer or I'd post a link. If nobody posts it by tomorrow I'll try to find it and post it.

I'd love to say you're right, but I've been trying all night and can't get it to work. I've cleared my cache, went to my TCP and changed my info to wap.voicestream.com and i've had 0 luck. if there's something i'm doing wrong, let me know, because my search on operamini's forums yielded no help whatsoever.

I found that the opera download site fails if you have your bb browser emulating another browser. they're sniffing the browser codes and unless you're in native blackberry browser mode you'll always get redirected away from the download page.

that said, i found the opera mini, both 3 & 4 rather underwhelming. for as slow as it was it didn't really add much over the native browser.
