I noticed that's the only one db related to empower. The idea is just update the base dictionary plus the app. Where are the other databases?

Within the BlackBerry Desktop Manager (DM) on the PC. The "Empower SpellCheck" database is automatically copied from the device to the PC when you perform a periodic backup using the DM. You can selectively restore only that database from the DM Backup and Restore utility using the "Advanced..." button.

Basically they just have a 10 in the url, which the lastest version does not has.

Hi Ani,

I just installed the newest version of InstaSpell (1.31) and am having a problem with it after I installed InstaSpell and then the dictionary (I made sure to uninstall all previous versions prior to installing 1.31). When I go to run the program to load the dictionary, I will get the status bar that says the percentage done; however, at a certain point (1 time it was at 19, another time it was at 24) my phone will restart. I have tried to uninstall InstaSpell and the dictionary and reinstall several times, but each time I end up having the same problem. I didn't have this problem with 1.3...do you have any suggestions/fixes for this problem? Thanks!

Did you uninstall both applications before attempting to install the new ones? If not, uninstall the old ones first, reboot, then try installing the new one.

What version of OS do you have? Are you attempting to install the correct version for your OS?

Yes to all your questions!~ I did as described to me - when I tried the v1.3 it gave me an error when I tried to open Insta Spell icon.

I decided to scrap it and go BACK to v1.0 but now it wont open at all.

v1.0 has most likely expired by now -- that has typically been the behavior of expired beta versions.

You say, "It gave me an error", what was the error? You never indicated, what OS version do you have? My assumption is that you downloaded the version for your OS?

Fred,
The error you told me would occur if you install the wrong version. It seems you have installed the version for 4.2.1 OS and higher where as you are running version 4.2.0 on your 8100.

Please install the version - 4.2.0 and below and you should be fine.
