Anyone know if I can disable the admin options in the index.asp just like they are disabled on the lite.asp page by omitting the password?

I used the original berrystats until last week when we migrated from MSDE to SQL and that version stopped working.
Installed QC's today and it looks great.

Thanks for all the hard work everyone, my helpdesk is happy again.

QC has done an amazing job making my ugly page have a workable UI and added some really useful features. We have moved to having our helpdesk actually maintain the users now so as of next week, I am switching us to the QC version. I am however doing a few customizations. I am adding an ADLookup module for the smtp address at the moment and will post that when testing is complete.

There is a readme. with the admin page, the config can be done from your web browser. I would recommend putting the files within a subfolder of wwwroot, but that is up to you.

Bjgrim - good to see you are still with us I have a question. Why do smtp address lookups using AD? The addresses are in the SQL db. You can just pull them out of there. Or am I missing something?

Don't put it past me to have missed something obvious either

However, the AD lookup is for adding new users only. We have 20,000 SMTP addresses in our GAL. Would make it easier for the tech to get the right one. They are added and set up before they get to the end user.

Default ADLookup

Here is the ADLookup module. I hope it is useful to others. Documentation is internal. A lot of the stuff could be pulled into the Global.asp file and Config.xml, but I didn't want to customize QCs stuff. Much respect to Mr. Metal...

this is a greate added feature to the page I had thought about adding this as well as our user base grows it would be very benificial to have this handy for them. On the ID that you use for the domain/username for the lookup does it need any added permssions

Cool

I seem to be getting this error when using the adlookup.asp Provider error '80040e37' permission denied
when looking up the provider error it appears to be a ldap lookup error. I'm not sure if this has to do the connection for the ldap or the user ID permissions any ideals

Is there anyway to build the ldap to do multiple domains we have DC's for each region and I wasnt sure if I needed to build a call for each domain or if I could use a "," and just inlude all domains in one single ldap path??

Yes, It does need permission to read data through LDAP from your AD. However, out of the box, this works. Unless someone has torqued down your permissions, it should be ok.

If they are under a single umbrella, you could back up and search all of them. If not, you would need to make a dropdown for the tech to pick from next to the search field.

OK, I finished my ADLookup integration. I ended up bouncing to it inline when you click on Add User and then forwarding the info over to the Adduser page with a query string. It looks a lot more integrated that way, but it does require manipulation of existing pages. I also made a GodMode so that I could control who could do deletes and kills. Our helpdesk will not have GodeMode . I am willing to share with anyone that has a knowledge of html and ASP, but it isn't worth posting. PM me if you want it.

Anyone else have the problem where it won't refresh after a checkall? Could be something I torqued up. I have done a lot of mods. Just wanted to check before I started looking for the problem. help narrow it down and all.

Default Almost there

I have the app installed and I can get to the admin.asp page, but the only thing I see on there is:

BerryStats (ASP) configuration

"Submit"

I assume I am missing something somewhere. I've never entered a username or password anywhere but I imagine that I do that on the admin.asp page.

verify where it is looking for the config.xml. It should have a pointer to it in the global.asp. Either place it where it is looking or change where it is looking. You can also change the config.xml manually using a text editor (notepad). Global.asp must know where it is though or the whole app won't work.
