Is there a way when you receive a voice mail notification or message that you can have the Blackberry 8800 continue to notify you with a beep until you view the message or voice mail?

This would be a valuable feature, so that if a user does not have their Blackberry on their person, that they would know by a continuous beep, say every 2-3 minutes notifying them that a message has arrived but has not been viewed or picked up. It is very difficult unless you frequently check your device and notice the flashing LED that a message has arrived, especially if your device faces inward in a holster, you can't really easily see the LED flashing.

I know that you can have a sound and visual notification right after the message comes thru, but it only notifies once, not consistently, until you receive the message.

Any thoughts? Is there someplace that users could request this as part of a firmware upgrade to the device? Why would BB not add this? Is there a disadvantage? Battery life should be a non issue if that is the big issue.

What constitutes an important call? Is there a setting somewhere that I missed in my address book or call log?

What constitutes an important call? Is there a setting somewhere that I missed in my address book or call log? In other words, how does the Blackberry know if it is or is not an important call?
