Default new member - Need IM

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all.. found this site on the web and thought that you would definitely be able to help me out..

As i get busier with work i need to use AOL IM on the move.

So, i have read a few things on this site, and hope this is the right place to post this query.

I have downloaded a trial version of IM+, and it installs on the BB no problemo, but it will not load up when it is on there... Has this ever happened to any of you guys.. is there a simple solution?

if any of you have any suggestions, i don't necessarily need to use IM+, i just thought is was the best one...

i will stop rambling now..

Look forward to hearing from you
cheers
Dom

What version did you install on your BB? BES? or WAP?

Identify it correctly.. that's your first step into connecting it to the IM+ server

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 7100v: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7100/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

I have the same problem. I need to run msn, vnc, ssh etc... But in my BB this apps can't connect. I setup my BB like Mark Rejhon Internet conf post (vodafone spain) but don't work. I get the error "Unable to open connection" in vnc and ramble

IM+ seemed to be down over the weekend, but is back up and working. I bet the IM services changed ports on them Friday.

OK - some progress at last!!!

I have installed ramble on to the BB... was getting all excited and then... no joy... a box came up on the BB saying - "invalid connection string: could not open tunnel - Failed"..

any bright sparks got an idea of what has gone wrong..

cheers

try resetting the flux-capasitor so that it re-creates an output of 1.21 jiggawatts.

oh ... and don't forget to set your speeds to 88mph.
