for what...? In all honesty that wi-fi on the BB is going to let you browse on that tiny screen..? The internet on the BB is what the email is on the iPhone.

Your iPhone to BB comp is comical. I have had both and while the BB has its pluses, as does the iPhone...and comp'ing the Sidekick is well....no comment.

The BB does email right and is a internet wannabe.
The BB allows 3P apps, which is very nice.
The iPhone is an email wannabe that does multimedia (including the internet) better than any phone to date.

I have had both..

and the iPhone keyboard is actually better IMO than the BB 8800 keyboard. Once it learns your patterns you can messup like mad and it will still type what you want. The BB will still type the wrong keys.

If someone wants email and IM and some 3P apps, the BB is better IMO.
If someone wants music, video, blah email and risky hacked apps, the iPhone is better IMO.

I will say that the iPhone's email with Gmail accounts has been wicked fast lately. I got a receipt from the Apple store before I could make it to the door today.

I just got back from the AT&T store; wow i was very disapointed with the curve, after using the Iphone, the biggest draw which really hit me was the lasckluster performance of the curve. and second it was very slow browsing, i deffinetly agree with you Dawgfang though in over all sense the curve in person did not apeal to me at all. so i guess i will be sticking with the IPHONE.

yeah I'm on it right now using it
horizantally and it fits the whole site nicely
and the text is big enough to see without zooming or anything

I agree dawgfan that the typing is actually very good

The only gripe I have is my non-yahoo email is hit and miss
its never lost but it sometimes can take a few minutes
But it is not much different than BIS time wise.

Ask yourself just one simple question -

I use my smartphone primarily for:
a. web browsing
b. email
c. phone

If you answer a then you will be thrilled with an IPhone.
If you answer b then you will be thrilled with any BB
If you answer c then you will be thrilled with any standard phone that is not an IPhone or a BB - try a small Motorola.

thats a good breakdown. only thing i would add is if your a ipod or mp3 player person. I hate carrying around multiple devices and listen to podcasts (audio/video) and the occasional movie while on a trip. that can be done with BB but with the ease of the iphone and the bigger screen and better playback iphone gets that one.

I do a hand full of emails in a day, though i listen to music and browse alot. So the BB would not be a good move.

I've seen a few people mention this
new browser but have the people with the 8820
said anything about it? It seems like they would have posted
about it but I have seen nothing.
looks like the choice has been made for the OP
let us know how you like the iPhone
