On one of my servers I have just added 1000 users and some strange things started to happen to about 4 users. My server is a Dell 1950, Raid, 4 gig, 2.8, separate SQL 2005 server, BES software is 4.1.2. I have had about 4 users complain to me that they are seeing emails come in and then they automatically vanish on their Blackberry like they are being deleted. I have activated one of the users account on my test Blackberry and sent an email to the device and I watched as I saw the email come in and then after 20 or 30 seconds it vanished. This is only on the Blackberry that this has started to happen and it’s not affecting the user’s inbox on the outlook side. I thought that this might be a filter/rule thing in outlook so I checked that and that was fine. I ran a resetfolders on his inbox thinking this was a corruption and same thing. I moved his box to a different exchange cluster and re-activated him and it just stopped doing this for some reason. I now have 3 other users complaining about the same types of things. Really strange stuff! I have re-activated the other 3 users in hopes that this will fix it but I would really like to find the root cause of the issue before this grows into a massive nightmare. Any ideals would be great as I am starting to slowly scratch my balding head on this....

And the message is still in the users INBOX when you view it through Outlook / OWA?

Anything in the ALRT logs about these users?

I did log into owa and the test email was still there and I logged into there client and the email was still there but it had vanished on the BB. I checked event logs on exchange and on BES and nothing with any red flag for that user or any of the other 3 users that I have this issue with and they are all on different clusters now. I did capacity planning on my servers and I speculated that my Dell 1950's could handle up to 1500 users before full capacity and my MOM alerts are fine and all within threshold so I dont think its a performance issue but it sure is a strange one to me

Are you able to duplicate this yourself? Sounds like a filter or setting on their device to me?

Have you thought about going to BES 4.1.4.12? I don't have as many users on our BES but haven't had any issues.

when you move a mailbox from one store to another you are actually cleaning
the mailbox form all corruption ....
if the strange behaviour stoped for all mailboxes after they were moved then
you should be looking at your exchange database for any sign of corruption...

Why exchange database?? because it happend to more than one user....
