Interesting. When I connected to my desktop manager to install the new themes, it wanted to remove X-Player and associated components marking them as "unrecognized". Any way to get the new themes OTA?

You don't need to uninstall software,
just install only theme (alx + cod in zip)

No can do. The desktop manager does not give you a choice not to remove the program and you can't install anything until you have done the un-install. Maybe could un-install the program, install the theme, and then OTA the program.

Is it possible to have a theme that makes it easy to see which track is being played? The Default theme uses blue for current, black for the rest, and it's not easy to see it. The Gray At Night theme makes it stand out better, but then it's not as easy to read the name.
I think making the current file bold or inverted would be better than changing its colour.
Can you make these themes also apply to xFile? It's very hard to see what's been selected.

I can't remember what I've requested by email, so you may already have these on your list. Could we please have some sorting options?
- Alphabetic by filename (I think it does this now)
- Alphabetic by track name (in case file names contain track numbers)
- By track number (in case file names don't contain track numbers)
- By date (to help find recent additions)
- By size (to help find the big ones)
- Manual sort (so we can change it around how we like)
Also, a search function.
And playlist folders, so I can categorise them.
In an email I mentioned that I would like to be able to specify the starting and ending point of any track. Would anyone else find that useful? You could use it to play just a portion of a track, and it would be useful with tracks that have too much silence at the start or end, or if you only want to listen to part of it. No idea if the Blackberry OS would allow this.
Support for the headset button to pause playing.

Another suggestion:
When adding files to the playlist, if I press Space to mark a single track, it would be useful if the cursor moved down one track after marking the file. That would make it faster to mark several sequential files.

I very much second these requests. PLUS:
- a way to fast forward / rew inside a track. That function needs to somehow allow to jump in big leaps but also in very fine steps (like a few seconds back if you just want to listen to something you overheard in a speach again). That would make my day

Another suggestion: a configurable limit to the number of times it will repeat in repeat mode. I'm concerned that I might leave it running, and it'll just keep playing till the battery goes flat.
Zero repeats could repeat forever, for those who want that.

Did anyone have problems with the Service Book after uninstalling the player via Application Loader?
It seems that the procedure wiped my Service Book and the Browser configuration. I had to re-register the BB to the carrier's network to have those entries restored. Of course, it may just be a general uninstallation issue unrelated to this app.
I wonder why does the BB need to wipe all application data when uninstalling something.
Goodbye,

I thought it was necessary before installing a new release. Can it be installed over the previous one?
Also, I'm waiting for the implementation of a slide bar to navigate inside clips. Without that feature, a media player is unsuited to my needs.
Bye.
