Default Now this is weird.....

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I'm not an expert so maybe there is an obvious explanation for this and its a common occurrence. If so please help me out...

I had a curve for the past month and decided to go back to an 8800 (I had a brand new 8800 that i hadn't used yet). I removed my sim (AT+T) card, wiped my curve and sold it to some guy from craigslist. I then put my sim card in my new 8800, plugged it into desktop manager, let it do its thing and away I went. I was getting my email, phone worked fine...all was well.

I woke up this morning to find that my 8800 now had two new email accounts registered to it, one a T-mo and one a yahoo....all in the name of the guy I just had sold my curve to!! I checked under messaging services and sure enough they were there.

I just wiped the 8800 and re-synched...so we'll see what happens. Any thoughts?

Edit: the foreign email accounts are still there...can't delete them!

Call your provider and give them your new IMEI number. It would appear that your SIM is still attached to the IMEI on you old phone.

That's just a guess BTW

agreed but very weird that the new guy was able to register the curve's imei or pin and they were still associated with the old sim. Strange, gonna have to wait for the admin guys to weigh in here..

I just did the security wipe.

I removed all of the foreign email service books, called AT+T to verify they had the right IMEI and had the guy i sold the curve to do the same thing with T-mo. He also wiped the curve, deleted all the BIS email accounts and started fresh. Finally I had my IT department ensure my IMEI number was correct on my enterprise account.

I'm reinstalling the OS now....fingers crossed.

I appreciate everyone's help. Thanks
