Hi.

I have noticed that when i use the blackberrymaps and send my position to a mail they differ alot from the positino i get when i "refresh gps" in options->advanced options->GPS
(the position numbers given by the blackberrymaps are correct when i enter in googlemaps, whereas the other is pretty way off target (about 100 km))


i assume they are different formats... can someone confirm this plz? is there a cookbook available that helps me converting?

One possible difference that comes to my mind is if one of the applications used another Datum, but I doubt that this is the problem, because GPS standardized on WGS84 as far as I know.Additionally if that were the problem, then the difference shouldn't be much more than a few 100 meters at most and not in the magnitude of 100 km.

Another possible difference is the format, which is described in this Wikipedia article (look for DMS, DM and DD).
