Default Global addressbook lookup - FAX missing

Please Login to Remove!

BES 4.1.4/MR1 for Domino 6.5.4
Last night upgraded to SP4 and this morning discovered my first problem.
When doing an address lookup from a device, FAX number doesn't show. Fax number is in the Domino Address Book. I checked PIM field mapping in BES and looks correct (fax-fax). Work and Mobile phone numbers show up OK, but not FAX.
Any suggestions? THANKS!

bump
I have a ticket open with RIM using our Tx1 support but has not been resolved yet.
Perhaps someone running BES 4.1.4 and Domino 6.x can tell me WHETHER IT WORKS FOR THEM: lookup in the Domino global address book FAX number; other fields (work phone, cell phone, etc work OK); what about work FAX number?
Although our production uses a remote SQL 2005, we experience the same issue with our smaller (5 users) Express server running local MSDE which was also recently upgraded from 4.1.3 to 4.1.4 with MR1 just like our production.
THANKS folks!

Check out a blog post of mine for the lookup mappings:

BlackBerry Enterprise Server on Domino Discussion: BlackBerry Lookup - The Details

Fax lookup should match the OfficeFaxPhoneNumber field on the Person doc.

Also, the PIM sync settings you reference are only for address book sync, lookups are different and hardcoded.

Thanks, mahoward, for pointing me to your Blog. It is very interesting. I've added it to my IE shortcuts.
I see you are running Domino 7 and obviously don't have this problem.

So, I ask other Forum members:
if you are running BES 4.1.4 and Domino 6.5.x, can you PLEASE check whether a lookup on the Domino person doc (not local addressbook) brings over Fax Phone? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.
I want to know whether the problem is ours alone or it is RIM's to fix.
THANKS!

We were previously on R6, are you sure the field OfficeFaxPhoneNumber is the one populated? Is the names.nsf replicated properly to the BES server?

Thanks x14 and mahoward.
Yes, OfficeFaxPhoneNumber is populated. I have been given read rights to the Domino addressbook on the BES production server and can see the entries on the correct fields. I'm attaching a screenprint. One thing different is that we have installed MR1 for SP4; would that cause the problem?!?

Just a quick note that today we received a confirmation from RIM that the Maintenance Release 1 is the cause of the FAX number problem. Here's the text of their message to us:

We have tested and confirmed your findings regarding the change in MR1 for Service Pack 4 not displaying Office Fax for a contact after a lookup. We have handed this information to our development group.
We will contact you again once this issue has been triaged and addressed by development.

Thanks for the update Jose. I am always amazed that small updates like this cause these weird non-sequiter bugs. Does MR1 really have new or updated code around address lookup mappings?!!?

I don't know what MR1 really does. We applied it immediately after SP4 and a reboot because I had previously done it on a small 5-user server without any apparent ill-effects and because I didn't want to fall victim to malformed zip attachments and some calendar updates MR1 is suppossed to fix. THAT will teach me next time: not broken? don't fix it!
