Wish the Curve's MicroSD slot was on the side, would make things much easier.

And if you can get the Verizon theme to work on a Tmobile Pearl like they did with the 8800 that will be awesome.

Awe man - and I switched to ATT just for the Pearl cause I didn't think Verizon would ever get CDMA on a Pearl. Hrrmph. Surprised they didn't call it the "World Pearl".

Default debating a switch for the pearl 2

if verizon's minutes weren't so expensive i would switch from TMo, i still have two weeks to decide (we get 30 days in CA). i really want video capture for my phone, i knew they could do it, companies always do the progressive release thing just to keep selling newer models. is there any chance we can get video capture with an OS upgrade?

From what I understand is that it is a hardware upgrade on the newer Pearls.

How is it not the Pearl 2? It has GPS. Look at the buttons. One of the differences aesthetically of the Pearl 2, is the menu and cancel/back buttons of the Pearl 2 are bigger. That one in the picture is the Pearl 2 just by looking at the buttons. Look at the side of the unit in that picture. It is NOT the first generation Pearl. That IS in fact, the Pearl 2.

Another reason to switch is gimped devices. When we get the Pearl 2 with GPS, it won't be locked. There are lots of applications VZW users won't be able to use because of their greed.

Nope. It IS the Pearl 2. Your telling me they took the BODY of a Pearl 2, shoved a Pearl 1 inside of it, strapped on GPS, update the software, and are only CALLING it a Pearl 2? When it is really just a Pearl 1 in disguise?

Because ..... from what I understand, the new body, GPS, and software update IS the Pearl 2.
