I just switched to Tmobile on my unlocked 8300 but the Internet globe is missing. I have the internet with the envelope (T-zones) but not the globe. Is this normal?

What does the top row on the BB say - does it say "Data Connection Refused"? Does it show GSM or EDGE in the upper right hand corner?

GSM is phone/sms service only.

What NJB is asking is whether or not the OP has a BB data plan.

Have you upgraded to the latest OS? There were some issues with Browsers not being pushed by TMobile but I think those have been fixed.

To push service books to yourself, go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table. Hit menu key and select "Register Now."

Excuse my ignorance since I am still new, this singapore version is fine for my 8300? I just download the version you have listed and follow the instructions and I am good?

yep...it doesn't matter what carrier name is on it. They're all made by RIM and just released by the carriers. Did you try the host routing table first?

Yes I did it last night when I switched to Tmo and then about 5 minutes ago after I read the post

There are no service books for TMO for the 8300 "Internet Browser". Only books for the 8320. As far as I know, it is very difficult to get this browser consistently working on the 8300 through TMO BIS.

From my experience, if the cell phone provider does not directly sell the device you are using, you are going to have a few service book issues from time to time.

That used to be true but not anymore. Service books for the 8300 are now available from TMo. This issue got resolved a few weeks ago (maybe even a month ago.)
