I just check the status of my order which was placed the very 1st day the 8310 was available on the site. The status shows a shipping date of 10/18 with an estimated delivery date of 10/23 ...anyone else get these dates too or something different? So much for the 2 day shipping!!! Now I have to wait until Tuesday before I get the phone, ridiculous!

That will make it all the better a Tuesday! I mean, what else could be happening on a Tuesday that would be as exciting as receiving a brand new 8310!! Wooo hooo!

I'm in the same boat of waiting (for Amazon). I may get my phone Friday, or it may be next week, but honestly, in the grand scheme of things, is it really going to matter all that much? It's just a stupid phone.

I know we're like kids at Christmas (I know I am) but let's keep things in the right perspective. I know I'm trying.

I hear ya! It's just pretty damn deceiving that Letstalk shows "in-stock" and then tells you backordered once the order has been processed. I have a party this weekend so it would've been nice to show off the new gadget. I can't wait to give complete feedback about the misguidedness of Letstalk once I get my phone.

I tried ordering phones from LetsTalk three times in the past. Each time, the phone was shown on their website as being in-stock only to find out later they didn't have any. A couple of times they really strung me along saying the phone would be in such-and-such day and it would ship out immediately. Several times that day came and went with no explantion. After three separate times trying to order phones from them, I went to Amazon.

The rep from Letstalk told me that they will not be getting a new shipment of the 8310 till Oct 22( Mon), so we'll see if I'll be getting mine next week.
And they still post it as "In Stock" on Walmart.com

The rep from Let'sTalk also told me shipments in on Mon. We'll see...I have my doubts. Will cancel order if there are more reliable sources elsewhere. The backorder message says ETA on 10/23. When I initially called I was told the phone was "in stock". Called back later that day to place the order and was not told it was backordered until the entire order process was completed. Not thrilled, but I'm not in a rush. Having said this, I don't want to wait weeks.

I did the same thing (ordered on 18 [at 4:30pm]) and paid for the overnight shipping (hoping to get it friday) and mine won't be here until today (the 22nd).

Still beats paying ATT 200 bones! Way to go Letstalk.com!

Did you get the Platinum? If you get yours today let me know. I will call them & raise HELL because I ordered mine 10/11 w/2 day shipping still have yet to receive it. Like CHT, the email I got Sunday said ETA on 10/23. I'm hoping they get them in today so I can have it by Wednsday.

I called today, and they still don't know anything. I asked about the "in-stock" advertising on their website, and the lady didn't have a very solid answer for it. I asked about the 8310 crimson, and the 8820, but she said I would actually have to place an order and wait 24 hours to find out if it was in stock.

Very frustrating to say the least.

This kind of echoes my Amazon experience. I think these companies have grown faster than their infrastructure can support. Answers in the trenches seem to be hard to come by.

my shipping date on my order was moved from today to tomorrow, and i got the following email

Thank you for your recent email. Your order is in the Accessory Pick status. This means we are currently picking your accessories from our warehouse that go with your order. The whole order process usually takes 3-5 business days. When you pay for overnight, that only refers to your shipping method.

on the plus side, my account at at&t is now showing a second phone active.
