I finally relented and upgraded to .180, however the update failed the first time around leaving my phone with no OS. After 4 tries, the update finally worked. I was then able to restore my data using DM. However I'm missing all 3rd party apps and many icons are missing from the programs screen. One I noticed right away was BrickBreaker (gotta have priorities, right?). I tried going to T-Mobile.com to resend service books, but I got the message:
We apologize, you do not have access to the My E-mail service.
Please use the e-mail solution provided with your wireless handheld.
My email (BIS) is arriving on the handheld without a problem. I looked for the email setup wizard icon and that is also missing. If I try to set up email using the generic setup wizard, the only options I get are for BES (which I don't have) or skip email setup.
Thanks, JSanders. I still need to go through the email set-up link on Tmobile though in order to get to the service books option. The 50th time I tried it (I'm tenacious) it suddenly let me in. But ultimately I had to reinstall the missing applications from the app loader in DM which worked for BrickBreaker and Yahoo IM. Still no 3rd party apps though (they're not in Restore), but I can reinstall those OTA.
