I haven't found any of them as complete as the Garmin nuvi I already have. So I can't see paying extra for that capability. I really only use the GPS on the BB as a back up in case I don't have my nuvi with me.
As far as the $10 a month.... there is one thing to think about there. I am paying close to $100 a year to update the maps on my nuvi. So $10 a month isn't that far off for always having the most current map updates. Now... if they would offer an annual subscription instead of month to month....
All that said.... I am using the InfoSearch FindIt most often on my BB. They finally got Nav4all working on the 8820 in release 8.0.6. I'll try it over the next few weeks just to see how it is. I'm not impressed with the menus so far. MapQuest 2.6 seems to have a much more intuitive user interface. The 5.0 seems to be even more impressive. @ $4.99 a month.... maybe even a better value.
The advantage I see of having GPS-able on the BB is access to the address book (and convenience, one less device). But, I agree the Garmin I played with is nice.
Telenav. I don't lug my laptop around for GPS use. Mapquest is ok but it didn't seem to reroute as quickly or as well as Telenav and it always suggested "make a u-turn" which is pretty useless when you're on a freeway.
As for the monthly fee, streaming maps to your BB is what you're paying for (updating the data and maintaining the servers that it resides on aren't free).
Telenav so far and it's going to get one heck of a workout during Christmas since I plan on using that for our drive from Michigan to Florida as well as InfoSpace Find it. I'll have a External mount GPS from my folks as a backup because the kids like to watch that and they won't be able to see my Blackberry while they are in the back seat.
I use both Telenav and Mapquest pretty consistently. For some reason though, it seems like Telenav drains my 8320 battery a little faster than Mapquest.
