This made me chuckle.

Works perfect on my ATT 8310. First install and no battery pull.

The move to 4 & 6 key is awesome, since now you can find next and previous in relation to the "nipple".

I sit in proximity to two towers. One is to my southwest and the other to my southeast. When GM uses the "triangulation" function to locate me, I am not pinpointed at either tower location. The pinpoint actually falls inside a nature preserve to my north.

Thanks "Spamdumpster"!!!

With the "GoogleMaps.jad" file I could also find out that the files:
  • gmaps-200-bb-42_L1.jar
  • GoogleMaps.cod
  • GoogleMaps-1.cod
  • GoogleMaps-2.cod
  • GoogleMaps-3.cod

were needed, that I also found in the same directory (http://www.google.com/gmm/apps/v2.0.0/L1/BlackBerry-42)

And now it's running on my Pearl ... thanks again!

FYI - the article states

Quote:
In addition, the My Location technology can actually complement GPS-enabled devices. My Location kicks in faster than the GPS in most cases, so users can access their location even faster on the map. It also works consistently indoors (unlike GPS) and conserves phone batteries more than GPS.

The My Location technology is available on most smartphones, including all color BlackBerry devices....
This is not true. It will not work on a 7100i. There is no 'My Location' on the menu and when I went into the Help it states that it is not available for that device.

Nothing.....just ignores me. No message, no movement, no nothing.

Works fine on MY 8830, but not on my co-workers 7100i. And if I'm going to send this out to my users (many of whom are 7100i users) I want to know what they should expect to see.

Default Navizon Clone?

Curious if this may be breaking one of Navizon's patents. The technology (and reported accuracy) appears about the same.

Just curious.

Confirmed from one of my Nextel 7520 users that the My Location feature doesn't work on his either. Help file tells him it is not available for that device. Pressing 0 doesn't work either.

Both iDEN devices....hmmmmm

My location works but i am off by about 1200 meters, which keeps me in the range. My hope is that the program will perfect itself.

Well, PIN Tracking seems to be disabled on Verizon accounts.
