Seems like 70 is rock solid as well. Thanks, John.

Yeah, 70 really boosted my UMA signal. DD-WRT was worth it just for that. I have fewer drops to EDGE. I do still get them but less frequent.

The problems are in the newer apple airport xtreme "N" routers. These seem to have many UMA problems. I read a thread on the forum somewhere where Apple and RIM are working on it. I would bet if you replaced your Apple Router with a Linksys wrt54G router and set it up appropriately, you would have good luck with UMA.

yeah and i do have the wireless n model. i guess i'll just wait and see if apple puts out an update to fix this since i really didn't want to change routers but if i have to then i will look into linksys.

I know it sucks to change routers because the airports have great range, but seriously the t-mo router is cheap and about as turn key as it gets. If you are not into changing some settings or tweaking with routers, I encourage all to just get the t-mo router so they can "plug and play for UMA" haha (sorry)

I don't really use it. But the times I do use it, it works flawless and I am impressed. The call quality really does sound great.

My UMA connectivity has been fine ever since I purchased the TMO D-Link wireless router. I had nothing but problems trying to use my existing Verizon wireless Actiotec router.

I've had a few times where it would not dial out the first time. Other than that no problems. I'm on a old linksys router too.

I've had a few problems in the past but it has gotten better and I'm not really having any issues now, although nothing changed. I'm not paying for the service it just connecting to my home network network (liksys WRT-54G). I guess maybe the network traffic caused my prior problems.

The only time I had a problem is when I was:

1. VPN over WiFi while on a UMA call.

2. Son was on PC playing Nick Jr games

3. Wife was on Nokia making UMA call

All over a 1.5 Mbps connection it finally crapped out and dropped the call.

Other than that, rock-solid with the T-Mo router!
