hello all, just upgraded from a cingular 8100 to a vz 8130, love the evdo speed and the newer OS. I just tried a C-S2 battery (7100 series battery that is 10% bigger than the pearl one.. that you can just manage to jam in and works fine in the 8100) and I got the dreaded battery with the red cross through it.

I also tried the seidio 1250 pearl battery and got the same result, both batteries are charged and working (never mind that seidio doesn't have a 8130 replacement door yet) anybody have any luck with any other batteries on the 8130? thanks

What's wrong with the original 8130 battery? Just curious.

Seidio reported that the 8100 batteries don't work in the Pearl for some reason...so most any 3rd party Pearl battery that exists won't work. Seidio is working on an 8130 version of their extended batteries, but aren't done yet (at least I haven't seen anything from them yet).

Sounds like he has them already and want s to see if they'll work in the Pearl.

I've tried other batteries with the 8130 out of curiosity but got the battery with the red cross through it.
