Default 8320 with only 8mb of data?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a new curve on the orange service in the UK. I had a 8820 with verizon in the states that gave me unlimited data. I know have only 8mb. Should I be concerned? I use the internet and BB messenger frequently and maybe send 50 emails a day. The plus side is that I have wi-fi, so if I log onto a wireless it does not use my 8mb's right? Thanks for the help!

if your on Wi-Fi, no need to worry; don't forget to set "Wi-Fi" preferred on Options > Mobile Network > Connection Preference

Does Orange have UMA? On T-Mobile, all data transfers over either WiFi or EDGE all come out of your byte bucket just the same. You can buy an extra $20 per month plan that gives unlimited over WiFi/UMA.

I would be scared. I have Unlimited on T-Mobile and I consistently use 11-18mb of data with just very casual web access, BB Messenger, and a fair share of BIS e-mail.

hmm, I check my t-mobile usage every month, and it's showing me I use 30-55megs a month!

I get a few e-mails a day, I wouldn't say heavy but I got 4 e-mail addresses coming in, i'd prob getting maybe 10 a day. Internet, I use everyday, mostly posting on forums, or at night to help fall asleep. I got AIM, Yahoo Messenger, and BB Messenger running 24/7. And I ocassionally use google maps.

I don't subscribe to the t-mobile @home UMA service, so I really never use WIFI nor do I have use for it. Although I will say it works great (the call quality is amazing) and it was a life saver yesterday. I was snapping pics with my curve and sending them through yahoo messenger via wifi (average 500kb a pic, and is much quicker sending through wifi than edge). I sent well over 10 megs worth of pics yesterday through my curve. It drained the battery quick though. My buddy is over in Iraq and was missing his daughter's baptism, so he was grateful to get pictures "real-time."

If you're on a limited data plan, be sure and install this app!
