Default Hi all, new to the BlackBerry

Please Login to Remove!

My name is CJ, and i am now an addict. I was a Treo fan, i had many 600s, 650s, 680s, and 750s. I recentley got my first BB, a red 8310 Curve. I am amazed at everything this came with, i had to add MANY 3rd party apps to get my treo even close to where the BB is out of the box. Only thing i miss about the treo, i would think all treo to BB users would say, the threaded messaging sytle. Other than that, i will never look back.

I have one question, how can i get a shortcut to BBF on my phone?

Welcome to the forums!

You could try this to get an icon with a BBF shortcut http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...cuts-last.html

....or just use a browser bookmark (that's what I do). You'll want to use the wap version of wap.blackberryforums.com for best viewing on your device, IMO.

Default TREO TO bb

I had the palm 3, 5, treos to 680 and just got my first BB 8310. My question is how to transfer my treo addressbook to the BB? Is there an easy way? I copied the treo address book to the sims card in the treo then swapped the sims card to the BB. However it seems to only copy the first number, and not the entire entries present on the Treo.

I would copy all entries to Outlook then sync to the BB, but I'm sure there are different ways.

upbeat, i changed the settings in my palm desktop to "sync with outlook", then sync'd the treo one last time. After that, i installed my BB Desktop Manager, and sync's the Curve. easy as pie, and took about 5 min..

Welcome to the group, cjcarbone!

For accessing BBF from your blackberry, check out wap.blackberryforums.com (from your blackberry). Be sure and go through all of My Prefs and adjust settings. The defaults aren't the best.
