Default Yahoo e-mail problems with AT&T curve

Please Login to Remove!

When I first set up my Yahoo account on my Curve, all was well. About two weeks ago my Blackberry started only receiving a couple e-mail's from my Yahoo mail account. There is no rhyme or reason on which e-mail's are coming through, however there are some that just never come through anymore, it's like things are being filtered from Yahoo to the BB.

I do not have any filters set up, I have deleted the account and re-added it to no avail. I don't really know what else to do. Any ideas?

are the emails arriving in yahoo fine, or are they going to any subfolders there? ie, are they going to the spam folder, or do you have a rule where messages are moved to a certain folder?

All e-mail's are coming into my Yahoo account fine and into the main mail folder. They appear on my iPhone without a problem (obviously not push, but the fact is they still show up on the unit).

Or try a different yahoo and check if they ever get to the BB fine? If Sith's questions are answered, that's the solution--rules.

Edit: I posted too late; weird stuff that probably a battery pull can't fix?

Yes and Yes. If you sent me an e-mail right now, it will go to my Yahoo inbox and not go to the blackberry. The iPhone gets mail when it pleases, so if I pick up the iPhone and hit get mail, it will appear on the iPhone. It never gets to the blackberry though.

do you get email at all? if yes delete the service books from the blackberry under options > advanced > service books (all but the provisioning service book will be able to be deleted) and then log into the bis site BlackBerry Internet Service or BlackBerry Internet Service or www.cingular.com/blackberrystart and resend service books.

I'll get maybe 20-30 e-mails a day in my Yahoo Inbox, and 2-3 total to my blackberry. I've deleted service books, deleted e-mail accounts, re-sent service books, re-added the yahoo account, nothing works. Still not working. Ugh, very frustrating.

Got no issues with yahoo. How about if you try a different yahoo email just to test it with? Before we can close this out as a device issue?

Cool

See if you recently changed the password on your yahoo and you DID NOT update it on your BIS.

Not that it will matter this late but I know when there is an outage It takes time for me to start getting emails back on my BB. Yahoo account on my computer always works but it takes time for the BB. Some come through some don't. Until a few days pass.

I had a similar issue with Yahoo emails after the last big outage a few weeks ago. The emails would show up late or not at all, even when other providers' emails (gmail, hotmail) had returned to normal. Try this:

1) Go to email setup and delete the yahoo account(s).

2) Reboot your phone

3) Go to the email setup and add those accounts back in.

4) Reboot the phone again

The idea is to get a "clean slate" on the phone whenever changes are made. Worked for me. Hope this helps.

That should do it; a battery pull after an update on BIS.
