Hello all,
a few weeks back I was having a lot of issues with gmail. Using pop stopped being instant, and furthermore stopped being reliable. I missed many an email. So I switched to the IMAP setup as documented on their website and though it was not instant, it was at least reliable. I know others had issues with gmail being instantaneous and was wondering if these issues have sorted themselves out for others?

So has POP become instant again?

Oh and because I'm sure folks will ask, I did delete account re-add account, resend service books, battery pull, reregister host routing tables.

It's off and on for me. It's not as reliable as it used to be.

I find Gmail through BIS (rather than the Gmail app) is fine, never had any problems.

It still takes upwards of 5 minutes many times when it used to be less than one minute. Something changed.

I will keep an eye on that then. I have not noticed any problems, but then I only use it online and login about once every 2 days

Should be always instant, unless you have really very many emails in your GMail inbox.

Nope. Don't have but a hundred or so in my mailbox total. Lots of deleteds though. Takes anywhere from one minute to 10 minutes.

Thank God I don't have those issues. I have my Gmail forwarded to my Blackberry and Its pretty much instant. I hope all those thats having problems get them sorted out...

I've noticed this as well. It seems more prevelant during business hours. Gotta believe its the recent growth of consumers blackberry use.

same here I get things in my Gmail account that never show up on the BB I only have one filter set up.
