Why didn't you use the instructions I posted to you on the previous page, exporting the calendar items to a CSV file then re-importing them? Was something unclear?

Vincent. ,

Maybe I missed something but I continue to get duplicate contacts when I sync. I'm up to 2000 contacts. Some have been duplicated 3 times.
I even started out with a fresh outlook contact folder so only the BB had them.

Any ideas or augestions.

Hello there,

Have you tried the recover function? If so, please email the support team and i'd be more than happy to work things out. Thanks so much!

Hi there,
What exactly does the recover do? Does it get rid of the duplicates or does it just revert back to the existing entries prior to syncing?

I guess what I'm asking us does the recover take it back to the old sync or does it ?

Good evening,

Hmm, perhaps an example is best. If you do a recover on the BB, it will take all the "stuff" from the server and use those entries only. But it's based on the server info...I hope i'm making sense?

Ok kinda makes sense but one thing I noticed it asks which way to recover. ? From BB to server or server to BB? Everything on the BB is current and how I want it

Good evening,

The sync is always from the server to whatever device (Outlook) or BB. You would have to do a sync, rather than a recover. I hope this helps!

Hopefully it helps. Ill give it another shot and see what happens. As for now my outlook and BB are synced up the same via desktop manager so it should work and hopefully not duplicate entries

Default Tasks

Is anyone else having issues with tasks getting set to a status of "Waiting on someone" in Outlook? Not sure if its the syncing, or something else on my device, so I don't want to go through support if its unique to my system.

Good morning,

I have never dealt with such an issue personally - but if you want, please don't hesitate to send a ticket and i'll get the techs to take a look into it. Take care!

It would be very useful to hear how this works with more than simple one-time Calendar event syncing...that is where the rubber hits the road for me, so to speak.

So has someone tested/confirmed accuracy with:

- A repeating calendar event initially established
- A repeating calendar event w/all occurrences modified
- A repeating calendar event with one occurrence modified
- All day events
- Confirming that the Subject, Location, Free/Busy, Reminder, and Notes all sync both ways accurately
- Is anyone seeing any duped calendar (or other) items?

The same with Tasks...are reminders, task status, etc., syncing accurately back and forth when edited on the BB or in Outlook?

And how is the conflict handling?

Like most business people I have a lot of repeating calendar events that have a myriad of potential modifications, and are much more challenging to accurately sync than simple one-time appointments that Cory mentions in his review.

Thanks for your feedback.

I'll leave it to the users - other than saying all the above were designed in mind. Why not give it a shot? =)

Thanks, Vincent...I'm just a bit too busy at work and home right now to pick up another activity that might cost me more time than it saves.

Appreciate feedback from other users...

Ok here's a potentially dumb question, but I'll ask anyway, can this service be used to sync my gmail email and calendar to my BB. And I believe that i noticed others here using this on the BB Curve, has anybody had any issues with that? the reason I ask tis is because the Funambol website does not show the curve on their compatible devices list.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Jay.
