Default 8820 Keyboard Lock issue

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I am helping a coworker who has one of the 8820 WE units. THe problem is that he uses the magnetic case that came with the phone to carry it so it will automatically put it into standby but continuously, the phone goes into a keyboard lock. I have played around with it and I have the same problem but can't find any setting to make this happen or turn off. I have looked into the general settings under security and those are not enabled. It seems to be after the phone is idle for some time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

In the security options setting

Lock Handheld when holstered - make sure the option is "no"

if the phone is on bes, it might be a bes policy also.

THanks for the replies on this. I have checked the security settings for going into lock while in holster and that is set to no. That has been that way since we got the phone.

The phone is on an Enterprise server but it is also joined by 8 other people that are on the enterprise server as well. This is the only 8820 as the rest are curves and pearls and 7100's but none of the other people are having this same issue so I don't think it is with the enterprise server.
