And we know how easy those are to read!

Hopefully it will be the keyboard will be the same size/specs as the 8300/8310 and can be swapped out.

Had a 8300 and my company switch me to Verizon and now have an 8830...HATE the reversed out keypad. VERY hard to read, especially at night.

Just spoke with my account manager a few minutes ago.

Today's answer to the 'When will VZW get the Curve' question is:

"The Curve will be available in the beginning of May"

Just spoke to my companies rep. He asked me to call him May 1 and I could have it by May 2.

He was spot on when he got me my pearl.

Take it for what it is.

Jawsnj,

It's shocking, but Alltel will have it before Verizon. Alltel is advertising it now for sale on May 1!

The release date i was given was for Business channels, but retail stores / online orders usually follow about a week later...

I must say this entire release schedule is very disappointing...VZW really needs to get customers better offerings much faster, I know, I know great netwrok, but.......

why cant they have a great network and timely phones???

It seems Verizon is behind in getting phones that are trendy like the competition does. Why does it take them so long???

they are comfortable with just having the best service, although if they would offer better phones and not so many restriction on GPS and Bluetooth file transfer they would shut out all competitors

i dont understand why they would make it black & silver vs. the 8830 all silver, but at least it's coming, also got a call from my vz rep that he recieved an email from verizon that it is too launch soon, but it only said "SOON" no specific date, but told me that he will hold one from the 1st shipment they get.

It's black and silver because it is a different material. It will be the same as the ATT Curve.

i dont care that it takes forever to launch a phone on this MOST WONDERFUL network, but please make a blackberry BLACK and we can all look cool...

Not that this is stopping me, my rep usually drops my new BB off the day they hit the warehouse in Secaucus, NJ

Default Verizon Curve

what really gets me angry is after all that waiting, its a phone
thats been out for a year already. if they going to make people
wait, at least make it worth wild and up date the features. but
iam one of those that choose service over device so i'll deal with it.
