Default How Many Contacts is too many?

Please Login to Remove!

How many contacts can I add to my Blackberry before it can start affecting operations of the Blackbery.
On my Outlook I have about 1850 contacts, I am trying to filter them down, but I don't think it would be anything less than 1500 under any circumstances. Would this be OK to sync to my Blackberry? Shame on RIM for not allowing contacts or programs to be stored on SD.

um i have 12k contacts and its only 3-3.5mb. you can "technically" have 10 times that without running out of memory on a clean device

How about speed. Does it still work just as fast when I calling from home screen, like typing the first name.. I am afraid it will have to do some work before it can start displaying closest contacts?

I am pretty sure the sync takes a while.. but thanks for the replies.. I am going to transfer my stuff over to BB now.

Does anyone know if the new firmware solves the issues of
1) not being able to see contact details from call log
2) not being able to pull up or show who you are dialing by number until you hit send/call

These two are one of the biggest features missing from BB, that WM has.

I have over 1800 contacts and it's running like bullet train. So, don't worry about performance for 1500 contacts
