I am using a BB 7100T.
When an appointment's reminder time is up the calendar application causes a tune to be played. Is there an option by which I can make the application to keep reminding me if I don't dismiss the appointment?

Yes there is.. Go to Profiles and edit your profile and you can set the ring or no ring vibrate only etc for Calendar, Messages, Browser and all others.. But there is no shortcut when the appointment is up. Also if you just want to stop that music while you are in meeting or something then you can just roll the trackwheel and it will go silent. Or press Mute button. Hope this helps
