Default Restoring!!!

hey i need your help out there. My crazy ass ex-girlfriend threw my phone out of my car, yes while i was moving.... now I'm wondering, i have a copy of my 8100 on my computer, a restore copy, if i get the 8120 will i be able to copy all my contacts back to the 8120??? yeah i know... crazy ass ex!!!

Yes, try the switch device wizard first and you should be right where you were on the phone. If not try the backup/restore. Stop dating crazy girls or at least pissing them off to the point of launching your BB!

So, did you find the device she threw out the window? If not, yeah, you can use the backup file on the new BB. No problem.

nope i went back to the place where she threw it but i only found the back cover , i'll be getting my new berry this weekend, so the restore i have will work on the 8120???

use the "switch device" option in Desktop Manager, you should be fine.

No, the switch device wizard will not work if you don't have the original BB. It is "switch" - not restore.

diesel - get the new BB, make sure that you existing plans are on the new SIM card, and then restore from the backup using Desktop Manager. Then go onto the BIS web site for T-Mobile and make sure it has the new IMEI and PIN for your BB account.

It should work fine.
