Default Desktop Manager / Device Manager ?

Please Login to Remove!

HI,

Having just upgraded my laptop I tried to install the desktop manager from the Blackberry CD but it fails to install (not sure if this is something to do with Vista)

So I decided to download the software from the Blackbery site, they list Desktop Manager and Device Manager, should I install both? - is one a cut down version of the other ?

Just a bit reluctant to start installing software and messing up the new laptop....

Cant find any details about what each does on the Blackberry site either :(

Thanks for your help

Desktop Manager should be sufficient.

Strike, do you know what the difference is? Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but I can't find any info.

Angry desktop software help

i am having the same trouble down loading the desktop software from the CD that came with my pearl. i have deleted it three times and then tried to down load it again but it never does right it seams to be the roxio app causing the trouble. now the app is partly deleted from my computer and i can't get the rest of it off. it doesn't show up in the control panel add or remove windows components any more so i don't known what to do i can't reload the CD because my computer says that it is all ready on the computer.it just bogs down my computer trying to run and finish down loading it is taking all most 100% of my CPU power trying to run. either shoot me or the computer because one of us has got to have some relief.

i am running windows xp with sp2 and IE7 - desktop software is 4.3

When I used my older computer it took forever to DL and run the DM, I think the installation might be a pretty RAM heavy app...just give it time is all I know...Works like a charm on my new computer though.
