Default loadingscreen, red LED cycle

Please Login to Remove!

hi, i've been here for a few weeks now, (ever since i got my fone)
i learned quite a lot from just looking around but something has been bothering me about my phone -.-

it works perfectly fine, then few hours/ min later, the screen would go off, the red LED will light up for few sec, then the loading screen will appear for about 2 sec. then disappear again, then the screen goes blank again etc. it would just keep repeating itself.

sometimes, when i do soft-reset, it would repeat the same cycle or i would get different types of errors like app error, error with the 207 number (sorry cant remember them).

when it first happened, i fixed it in an hour and it worked for a couple more days, then it became frequent from once a day to few hours each, but the only similarity is that the cycle from red LED-blank-loadingscreen-black-red LED-etc..

to fix the problem, i've been doing the instructions "if the jl_cmder doesn't wipe the phone- using the appLoader- loader.exe /nojvm" then i just restore the files from a previous day.

any ideas? i use 8130 from verizon

did you use JL_CMDR? it has always worked for me. it will ask you to type "blackberry" if you attempt to wipe it correctly. does it do this?

JL_Cmder won't work in this case as it's not up for long enough.

Thumbs up I had the same problem

I had the same problem and it was troubleshooted over and over... i even bought a new phone because they said my phone was broken. The problem i figured out later after i was out 240 dollars for a new phone was, my memory card. I had to re format the SD card on my laptop. The memory card was messing with my pearl 8100 and it was keeping it in this loop of the white screen and the hour glass then to turn off. So it does not need a wipe i tried that, i tried everything. Try re formating your memory card that is in your phone and it should be good. Or at least try taking it out and seeing what happens, if you take the card out the loop should stop once you turn your phone back on. HOPE THIS HELPS........

My Phone is doing the same thing. It keeps doing this and I take out the battery and put it back and it still does it. i've tried to reload the software and it says that it is doing it but it won't work it just comes on and then cuts off.

Hi, I've been having the same problem, and cannot connect to the device to wipe, or connect using the instructions, ' if the jl_cmder doesn't wipe the phone' as well. Any suggestions?? thanks,
