Default Opera Mini

Can someone please tell me why opera mini is so popular? Whenever I bring a website up on my curve 8330 it's so small I can't make anything out. It's so small I can't even tell what section to zoom in on. It also takes websites that normally are formatted to fit on the blackberry and makes them incredibly small as well (e.g. engadgetmobile). Am I missing something. Thanks

It's really just a matter of personal preference.

I use blackberry browser for most browsing, but Opera, for me, definitely comes in handy. It renders some pages better than BB browser, and some not quite as good. Sometimes it's nice to be able to see the page as it would appear on a computer. I have a smaller screen (Pearl) and although I can't read text in full page view, I can see where I need to zoom. This is cool for some pages.

Most importantly, I can access some sites from Opera Mini that I can't access from BBB, for instance my online banking site.

Peace,
LTP

Have you tried to adjust the settings to a larger font?

You are using the "5" button on your device?

everything you just said is very much true for me also... Opera is a good secondary browser for when BB Browser can't display certain formats

I suspect the 4.6 OS browser will rival the Opera Mini and I understand Firefox mobile will be out eventually. The best is yet to come.

Wirelessly posted

You can go to the opera settings and select 'mobile view'. I prefer this to zooming in and out.
