Default T-mobile Reception @ Univ. of Houston

Please Login to Remove!

Well it's been a long time since I was with T-mobile. I'm contemplating on switching to T-mobile just so I can get the 8320 :p Can anyone in the Houston area, particularly @ the Univ. of Houston, tell me how the reception is?

Is there a website I can go to, to check something like this?

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

Yesn Tmobile has a great street level coverage mapn on their site. Of course nothing is as accurate as actual use and user comments.

I have a buddy that goes to the downtown campus. He says his service at the downtown U of H Campus is fine.

You should have great coverage at UH and all over Houston. Never had a problem with coverage in the city or suburbs. You can always check at the T-Mo website for street level coverage to be sure.

I know a little farther north in Tyler, T-Mo gets no reception. I've had several buddies move here from another state and have to switch carriers withing the 1st week. Houston is much larger so I'm sure the variety of carriers and reception is better there.

You can use the street level coverage maps but I specifically switched from TMO because I was in a dead spot marked as "good" by their coverage maps. The maps are pretty useless IMO unless you want to know what coverage you "should" get. Personally, I need to know what I will get.

Don't rely solely on the maps.

I live in the dorms at UH and reception is great. The only places I don't get signal is at the UC Satellite and the MD Anderson Library first floor (where the computer lab is located). Other than those two places, I usually get great signal. For places I don't get signal, I connect to UHWireless and log in using my CougarNet info and my phone will connect through UMA.
