Default VeriChat OTA Download Link - Fixed for 4.0.2 users

Please Login to Remove!

http://www.verichat.com/ota/VeriChat.jad

For those of us who have upgraded to 4.0.2, the OTA download link has been fixed by PDAapps. The cause of the issue was something that has been changed with the new OS revision, causing the MIDlet-Version line in the JAD files to be numeric in nature, only (could contain periods, as well). In previous OS versions, they could be alphanumeric. The version was listed as 2.48b in the JAD file, thus it received an invalid manifest or application descriptor error when trying to access the file in a browser.

Just thought I'd share for those who had issues previously.

nah, this will work for any version of the OS now. his issue, i'm guessing, is either a misspelled word or case-insensitivity.

Go to Host Routing Table in your handheld Options and click on Register Now.

Same problem here. I did the register now but still dont have an Desktop [IPPP] service book entry. Do I just have to contact my BES admin and have them do it?

I'm having the same service book problems. T-Mo sent me a replacement 7100t, but when I try to use Verichat since the 4.02 upgrade, I can't get on. I called customer service who helped me resend the service book stuff to no avail. This is really interesting...NOT!

I never used verichat before, but for the heck of it I did the OTA download and it works. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought verichat only worked if you paid for it??? I use a Nextel 7520 by the way.

They give you a free trial period (for 30 days, I believe) after which it will expire and ask you to enter a registration code.
