Mine smells like Napalm in the morning...

I'm curious to know what possessed the OP to smell his battery in the first place? Is this strictly a BB thing, or do you often enjoy sniffing random things?

Can we get a poll going to see how many people pulled their battery to see if it smelled? heh heh

BTW, mine doesn't smell like much of anything....

Not trying it. Smells like plastic is my guess.

I seem to be particularly sensitive to fake maple syrup smell. I can smell that quaker oatmeal a mile away when someone at work makes it for breakfast. It nauseates me. So because I dislike it SO much, I think my nose is sensitive to the smell, and after pulling my battery way more times than I cared for last night (and maybe way more beers than I should admit), I came to the realization that my battery stinks like fake maple syrup.

ETA: And I'm a she.

It is a bit perplexing that a battery smelling like fake maple syrup has over 30 posts...

Instead of subjecting yourself to a smell you are sensitive to it, perhaps you might try SoftReset instead of a battery pull.

That is if the battery pull is done to refresh the memory...

Gotcha...

Sniff...what's that I smell...?

Battery pull was do to my inability to properly install the OS on my computer. It was a long evening...I hope to avoid the smell in the future.

O.k., one last comment. For those of us that did admit to having a battery with a smell, we appear to all be Curve users?
